NET Independent Film Night - Keeping Mum

The Independent Film Night gives young professionals a chance to see films that aren't widely played in other theaters and an opportunity to talk afterwards about the film. The group usually heads across the street for a cup of coffee and discussion after the film.

Keeping Mum

In this uprorious English comedy, Walter Goodfellow (Rowan Atkinson), the vicar for the small English country parish of Little Wallop, has allowed his marriage to Gloria (Kristin Scott Thomas) to go stale and is becoming increasingly detached from his rebellious teenage children. Out of desperation for affection, Gloria begins to fall for the advances of an American golf pro (Patrick Swayze). But the problems upsetting the family start to fade away with the arrival of Grace Hawkins (Maggie Smith), the new housekeeper and a darkly mysterious version of Mary Poppins.
