Bach’s sacred cantatas are gems of artistry. This year, three Festival premieres are included, as well as the cantatas Bach wrote for his first two Sundays in his new position at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, juxtaposed with two of his missae breves (short masses). This continues the Bethlehem Festival’s tradition of providing an unmatched opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich variety of Bach’s creative genius.
