Minor League stadium construction starts

Construction on Allentown's $34 million Minor League baseball stadium got its start this morning with a groundbreaking at the former Agere Systems property.

The 7,000-seat stadium will be home to the Philadelphia Phillies AAA team.

The stadium project should be completed by December of next year, leaving plenty of time to finish the ballpark before it opens in April, 2008.
